Amy Stonestrom is an award winning writer and designer who has more than two decades of experience writing and editing for journals, magazines, corporate communications and educational programming. She also is the owner of Stonestrom Design, a landscape and interior design firm.
Her writing has appeared in Brevity Magazine, Superstition Review, Montana Mouthful, Storm Cellar Quarterly, Wander Lust Journal and many others.
Amy is the recipient of a 2022 Tucson Festival of Books literary award in creative nonfiction and was a finalist for the Annie Dillard Award for Creative Nonfiction. She has also received prizes from the National League of American Pen Women and Streetlight Magazine. Her essay Every Bird in the Nest was named as a finalist for the New Millennium Writing award in creative nonfiction in 2019.
Amy has an MFA in creative nonfiction. She is also a graduate of the Writer's Project Intensive at the Loft Literary Center and is working on her first manuscript.
